We’re excited to invite you to a new adult art workshop at the library: Artist Trading Cards.
This creative, hands-on class is all about making small, original works of art that can be shared, swapped, or kept as a personal collection. As the name suggests, participants will design and create their own trading cards using a variety of artistic techniques and materials.
The workshop is led by Marlana, who many of you already know from our popular Mindful Drawing class. She also recently led a well‑received workshop on the Notan style of art. Marlana brings a welcoming, relaxed approach that makes learning accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
This program takes place over three Friday sessions: May 22, May 29, and June 5. We ask that participants commit to attending all three classes, as each session builds on skills and ideas introduced in the previous one. By the end of the series, you’ll have a set of unique artist trading cards and a better understanding of several creative techniques.
No prior art experience is needed, the workshop is open to everyone. All materials will be provided, so just bring your curiosity and willingness to try something new.
Spots are limited, and registration is required. You can sign up by calling the library at 613-678-2216 or by visiting the Adult Programming page on our website. We hope you’ll join us!
