Astronomy Club
Are you curious about the cosmos? Whether you’re a seasoned stargazer or just starting to explore the night sky, the Astronomy Club welcomes everyone 13 years and older! They meet on the last Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the library to explore a new topic related to astronomy.
The club is run by our expert volunteer, Richard, who has been running outreach astronomy programs for 30 years and has been a member of both the Montreal and Ottawa chapters of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada.
Past discussions have covered a wide range of fascinating subjects, including observing techniques, the forces that power the Sun, and even the search for methane seeps on Earth to help us understand the potential for life on Mars.
