Eligibility
- At least 18 years old
- A Canadian resident or permanent citizen
- A resident of Champlain or East Hawkesbury
- Not employed by the municipality
Time Commitment
- Monthly Board Meeting
- Meeting Preperation
- Occasional Library Events
Term: 4 years – Appointed by the municipal council
What Does the Board Do?
The Library Board provides leadership and governance for the library by:
- Setting policies
- Supporting long-term planning
- Ensuring accountability
- Advocating for library services
- Helping the library respond to community needs
Board Members work together to ensure the library remains welcoming, accessible, and responsive to the people it serves.
